Glued and blindstiched seams and 5mm neoprene combine to provide thermal protection and the sturdy side zips makes putting the boots on/off a lot easier and also allows a little more opening for latex socks of a drysuit. It may be worth noting that the usual norm is to wear one size larger in your boots if you want to allow room for latex socks on a sailing drysuit. The sturdy sole provides plenty of grip and durability.
