MGE SMB Wreck Reel designed and manufactured in the UK. An SMB Reel, is often required equipment by many dive operations, together with a Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (SMB). A thoroughly tried and tested reel as used in our dive school over a number of years due to its robustness and high performance. A quality engineered Reel - often copied, rarely bettered.
It is advisable to seek some good instruction and practice deployment in shallow water first, before the need arises in deeper water!
Top tip: If you deploy a delayed SMB during a dive, it is good practice post-dive, to unwind then rewind the line on your reel to ensure there are no tangles/snags which could cause problems on the next use - look after your kit and it will look after you.
